Community Practice Residency


CUMC Clinic Pharmacy sponsors a 1 year postgraduate Community Pharmacy Practice Residency Program.  This intensive training program is offered to two pharmacy graduates who are interested in expanding their knowledge in community practice.

CUMC Clinic Pharmacy is a community pharmacy which provides outpatient services to patients in the community, CUMC discharge patients, ambulatory clinic patients and university employees.  The pharmacy is owned and operated by Creighton University and is an active teaching site for community clerkship students and student employees.

The Community Practice Residency provides learning opportunities in multiple areas including:

  • Discharge Prescription Services
  • Teaching Certificate Program
  • Pharmacocybernetics Certificate Program
  • Staffing

 

In addition to the learning opportunities above, the residents will create customized learning plans which will guide their learning throughout the year.  Strong consideration will be given to areas of interest for each resident in terms of providing educational experiences. 

 

The residents will be required to prepare and submit a paper for publication and present a poster at a national meeting.  The residents will also present a research project at the Midwest Pharmacy Residency Conference.

Stipend: $40,000

Eligibility Requirements

 

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • Residents must have or be in the process of obtaining pharmacist licensure in Nebraska
